Local to Orlando, Shakirra began an on-again, off-again relationship with stand-up comedy in 2017 following a strange and beautiful experience in EMDR trauma therapy (a story for a different day). She’s a regular on professional showcases, and her style is sultry, punchy, and deeply personal yet satisfyingly dark and dorky, exploring topics such as self-worth, dating, and race in a way that’s ~ completely normal ~ and NOT NEUROTIC AT ALL.
